Zamoyski Brandy 40%
His journey begins with the selection of the best quality young wine, where the basic component is the varieties of Veltliner and Riesling, which we distil using 7-stage technology at a steam temperature of up to 85°C. In this way, we obtain the purest spirit with an alcohol content of no more than 65%. It is aged for a minimum of 12 months in 300 litre barrels made from European oak, which grows at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level. Subsequently, blending and egalization takes place in wooden oak vats.
Its specific ageing process in oak barrels is influenced by the open storage space, where the temperature ranges from -25°C to +25°C throughout the year. These different climatic conditions have a significant impact on the sensory quality of the brandy, as the casks at different temperatures impart different intensities of flavours and aromas to the brandy. This greatly enhances the taste of the brandy itself.
When tasting, the first perceived aroma is vanilla, then we can smell oak. In addition to the oak itself, the flavour also reflects the orange peel and an intense spicy taste at the end.

Andrzej Przemysław Zamoyski
The aristocratic Zamoyski family was the last owner of Ľubovňa Castle.
Andrzej Przemyslaw Zamoyski was enchanted by the nature of the northern Spiš region and the extraordinary water wealth that springs here directly from the heart of the High Tatras.
In 1882 he decided to buy the castle estate together with the nearby spa Vyšné Ružbachy.
Two years later, Andrzej married in Paris. His wife was Carolina de Bourbon, who was given the title Princess of the Two Sicilies. Out of love for her husband, Carolina accepted life in the Spiš region. Along with the rich wine, it brought new trends in the production and burning of alcohol to Ľubovniansky Castle in the form of a new, previously unknown drink - Brandy.
It is said that wine imported to the castle estate from the princess's homeland prompted the locals to produce a wine spirit in the form of a noble brandy with a royal taste and an unmistakable aroma.
Its exceptional taste has earned it a place of honour on the castle table at all important meetings and ceremonies.
