ZAMOYSKI BRANDY SPECIAL V.S.O.P. 40%

Zamoyski Brandy SPECIAL V.S.O.P. has been created in exceptional 7-stage distillation of selected young wine varieties – Green Veltliner and Rizling. Young wine of these varieties is characterised by its distinctive taste and aroma. The wine is light and fresh, which significantly affects the aroma and taste of the distillate.

The product matures for at least 8 years in 300 litre barrels made of European Oak (Quercus Robur), which has grown at an altitude of 800 m above sea level.
To achieve the uniqueness of the distillate, levelling takes place in wooden vats made of French Oak.

Another attribute is the effect of open storage space, in which the year round temperature ranges from -25°C up to + 25°C. Barrels, at different temperatures, impart different intensities of flavours and aromas to the brandy, which further enriches the brandy taste itself.
To achieve the purity of the brandy from a physical -chemical point of view, a unique filtration equipment is used, which is a strictly protected company secret.

Only 100% natural raw ingredients were used for the production of Zamoyski Brandy SPECIAL V.S.O.P.

Brandy offers the aroma of raisins and vanilla, and a soft smoothness with a fresh fruity whiff.

Andrzej Przemysław Zamoyski

The aristocratic Zamoyski family was the last owner of Ľubovňa Castle.

Andrzej Przemyslaw Zamoyski was enchanted by the nature of the northern Spiš region and the extraordinary water wealth that springs here directly from the heart of the High Tatras.

In 1882 he decided to buy the castle estate together with the nearby spa Vyšné Ružbachy.

Two years later, Andrzej married in Paris. His wife was Carolina de Bourbon, who was given the title Princess of the Two Sicilies. Out of love for her husband, Carolina accepted life in the Spiš region. Along with the rich wine, it brought new trends in the production and burning of alcohol to Ľubovniansky Castle in the form of a new, previously unknown drink - Brandy.

It is said that wine imported to the castle estate from the princess's homeland prompted the locals to produce a wine spirit in the form of a noble brandy with a royal taste and an unmistakable aroma.

Its exceptional taste has earned it a place of honour on the castle table at all important meetings and ceremonies.
